Millennial Affirmations / 2018 - 2019

This series of 40 paintings are inspired by New York City dive bar bathroom graffiti. Sometimes little phrases get stuck in my head and bumble around with no place to go. This series of small works aims to place the viewer into false meditation. The layering of phrases and words and colors creates a field of chaos with words to uncover. The juxtaposition of these words creates a narrative unique to each viewer showing that sometimes strength comes from dark places. Each painting is 10" x 10" and one of a kind.
